    • Aid station volunteers will enforce cut-off times at the aid stations. Runners need to check out of an aid station by the cut-off time. Any runners coming into an aid station after the cut-off time will be pulled from the course by volunteers. Volunteers also have the authority to pull runners from the course if it is obvious the runner cannot continue safely.

If a runner leaves the race without notifying an aid station crew then they may be disqualified and restricted from entering races in the future.

    • Back to the Roots Running will do everything in their power to ensure the course is marked appropriately. However, events out of their control such as weather, animals, or other humans can alter course markings. It is ultimately the runner’s responsibility to know the course and ensure they stay on it.
